The ADSW4000 ADI EagleEye™ PeopleCount algorithm enables a people counting function within internal spaces, such as meeting rooms or office spaces. The system edge node analytics unlocks informed insights and analytics with an accurate and secure people counting capability. This data can provide the insight to improve asset and people management, social distancing, security, employee engagement, space utilization, labor productivity, and energy efficiency.

The ADSW4000 is designed to operate solely with the Analog Devices, Inc., ADSP-BF707 Blackfin+® core embedded processor (ADSPBF707BBCZ4-EGE) and is optimized for a CMOS 2D video graphics array (VGA) sensor and lens (the recommended Chicony CYFI013 module incorporates an ON Semiconductor® ASX340AT3C00XPED0-DPBR CMOS image sensor, Chicony YT70005 lens, and lens holder with infrared (IR) filter).

The ADSW4000 ADI EagleEye™ PeopleCount algorithm provides up to a 90% accurate people count within the target area.

The following are the accuracies achieved for tested radii from 3 m to 5 m:

The ADM6315 is a reliable voltage monitoring device that is suitable for use in most voltage monitoring applications.

The ADM6315 is designed to monitor as little as a 1.8% degradation of a power supply voltage. The ADM6315 can monitor all voltages (at 100 mV increments) from 2.5 V to 5 V.

Included in this circuit is a debounced manual reset input. RESET can be activated using an ordinary switch (pulling MR low), a low input from another digital device, or a degradation of the supply voltage.

The manual reset function is very useful, especially if the circuit in which the ADM6315 is operating enters into a state that can be detected only by the user. Allowing the user to reset a system manually can reduce the damage or danger that could otherwise be caused by an out of control or locked up system.

The ADM6315 is available in a cost efficient and space efficient SOT-143 package.

The 300 mA, adjustable dual output ADP223 / ADP225 and fixed dual output ADP222 / ADP224 combine high PSRR, low noise, low quiescent current, and low dropout voltage in a voltage regulator that is ideally suited for wireless applications with demanding performance and board space requirements.

The low quiescent current, low dropout voltage, and wide input voltage range of the ADP222 / ADP223 / ADP224 / ADP225 extend the battery life of portable devices.

The ADP222 / ADP223 / ADP224 / ADP225 maintain power supply rejection greater than 60 dB for frequencies as high as 100 kHz while operating with a low headroom voltage. The ADP222 / ADP223 / ADP224 / ADP225 offer much lower noise performance than competing LDOs without the need for a noise bypass capacitor. Overcurrent and thermal protection circuitry prevent damage in adverse conditions.

The ADP224 and ADP225 are identical to the ADP222 and ADP223, respectively, but with the addition of a quick output discharge (QOD) feature.

The ADP222 / ADP223 / ADP224 / ADP225 are available in a small 8-lead, 2 mm x 2 mm LFCSP package and are stable with tiny 1 μF, ±30% ceramic output capacitors, resulting in the smallest possible board area for a wide variety of portable power needs.

The ADP2230 includes two high efficiency, low quiescent current, 800 mA, step-down, dc-to-dc converters in a small, 10-lead, 3 mm × 3 mm, LFCSP package. The total solution requires only five tiny external components. When the ADP2230 is used with three 0603 capacitors and two 2 mm × 2 mm inductors, the total solution size is about 48 mm2, resulting in the smallest footprint solution to meet a variety of portable applications.

The ADP2230 buck regulator uses a proprietary, high speed, current mode, constant frequency, PWM control scheme for excellent stability and transient response. The buck outputs operate out of phase to reduce the input current ripple. To ensure the longest battery life in portable applications, the ADP2230 has a power saving variable frequency mode that reduces the switching frequency under light load conditions.

During logic controlled shutdown, the input is disconnected from the output, and it draws less than 0.1 μA from the input source. The ADP2230 operates from input voltages from 2.3 V to 6.5 V, allowing the use of multiple alkaline, NiMH, or lithium cells and other standard power sources.

The ADP2230 offers multiple options for setting the operating frequency. To maximize light load efficiency, the ADP2230 can operate at a reduced switching frequency in PSM and switch automatically to PWM as the load increases. The ADP2230 can be forced to operate at 2 MHz in PWM only mode when noise considerations are more important than efficiency. The ADP2230 can also be synchronized with a 1.5 MHz to 2.5 MHz external clock via the SYNC pin. When using the external clock synchronization control, both buck outputs operate in phase with the applied clock signal.

The ADP2230 includes an internal power switch, synchronous rectifier, and compensation to minimize external part count and maximize efficiency. Other key protection features include undervoltage lockout to prevent deep battery discharge, internal soft start to prevent input current overshoot at startup, and an integrated, switched resistor, QOD function that automatically discharges the output when the device is disabled. Short-circuit protection and thermal overload protection circuits prevent damage in adverse conditions.

The ADuCM4050 microcontroller unit (MCU) is an ultra low power integrated microcontroller system with integrated power management for processing, control, and connectivity. The MCU system is based on the ARM^® Cortex^®-M4F processor. The MCU also has a collection of digital peripherals, embedded static random access memory (SRAM) and embedded flash memory, and an analog subsystem that provides clocking, reset, and power management capabilities in addition to an analog-to-digital converter (ADC) subsystem.

This data sheet describes the ARM Cortex-M4F core and memory architecture used on the ADuCM4050 MCU. It does not provide detailed programming information about the ARM processor.

The system features include an up to 52 MHz ARM Cortex-M4F processor, 512 kB of embedded flash memory with error correction code (ECC), an optional 4 kB cache for lower active power, and 128 kB system SRAM with parity. The ADuCM4050 features a power management unit (PMU), multilayer advanced microcontroller bus architecture (AMBA) bus matrix, central direct memory access (DMA) controller, and beeper interface.

The ADuCM4050 features cryptographic hardware supporting advanced encryption standard (AES)-128 and AES-256 with secure hash algorithm (SHA)-256 and the following modes: electronic code book (ECB), cipher block chaining (CBC), counter (CTR), and cipher block chaining-message authentication code (CCM/CCM*) modes.

The ADuCM4050 has protected key storage with key wrap/ unwrap, and keyed hashed message authentication code (HMAC) with key unwrap.

The ADuCM4050 supports serial port (SPORT), serial peripheral interface (SPI), I²C, and universal asynchronous receiver/ transmitter (UART) peripheral interfaces.

The ADuCM4050 features a real-time clock (RTC), general-purpose and watchdog timers, and programmable general-purpose input/output (GPIO) pins. There is a hardware cyclic redundancy check (CRC) calculator with programmable generator polynomial. The device also features a power on reset (POR) and power supply monitor (PSM), a 12-bit successive approximation register (SAR) ADC, a red/green/blue (RGB) timer for driving RGB LED, and a true random number generator (TRNG).

To support low dynamic and hibernate power management, the ADuCM4050 MCU provides a collection of power modes and features such as dynamic- and software-controlled clock gating and power gating.

The LT8608 is a compact, high efficiency, high speed synchronous monolithic step-down switching regulator that consumes only 1.7µA of quiescent current. The LT8608 can deliver 1.5A of continuous current. Low ripple Burst Mode operation enables high efficiency down to very low output currents while keeping the output ripple below 10mV. Internal compensation with peak current mode topology allows the use of small inductors and results in fast transient response and good loop stability. The EN/ UV pin has an accurate 1V threshold and can be used to program V_IN undervoltage lockout or to shut down the LT8608. The PG flag signals when V_OUT is within ±8.5% of the programmed output voltage as well as fault conditions.

The MSOP package includes a SYNC pin to synchronize to an external clock, or to select Burst Mode operation or pulse-skipping with or without spread-spectrum; the TR/SS pin programs soft-start or tracking. The DFN package omits these pins and can be purchased in pulse-skipping or Burst Mode operation varieties.

ADI EagleEye™ is the technology combination of the ADSP-BF707 Blackfin® digital signal processor (DSP), the ADSPBF707BBCZ4-EGE, and Analog Devices, Inc., proprietary software analytics algorithms. The ADSW4000 ADI EagleEye™ PeopleCount algorithm enables a 2D vision, sensor-based, people counting and location solution for rooms and open areas.

The EVAL-ADSW4000KTZ, or ADI EagleEye™ trial kit, is the full sensor to cloud evaluation system.

The ADI EagleEye™ trial kit comprises the ADI EagleEye™ DSP subsystem, a cortex-based microcontroller unit (MCU) subsystem, flash memory, ADI EagleEye™ analytics algorithm, and application firmware.

The ADI EagleEye™ trial kit features a 2D vision sensor (the Chicony CYFI013 module) with a Bluetooth interface for commissioning via a tablet app and cloud connectivity over Wi-Fi for uploading metadata to the cloud.

A companion tablet application, the ADI EagleEye™ PeopleCount app, is available for device commissioning. A cloud-based online dashboard is available to users to access the collected data and a set of actionable insights.

Demonstration circuit 2521A is a 42V, 1.5A micropower synchronous step-down regulator featuring the LT8608/ LT8608B. There are two assembly versions. DC2521A-A is for the LT8608 and DC2521A-B is for the LT8608B.

The LT8608/LT8608B is a compact, high efficiency, high speed synchronous monolithic step-down switching regulator. Top and bottom power switches, compensation components and other necessary circuits are inside of the 2mm × 2mm DFN package to minimize external components and simplify design. The difference LT8608 and LT8608B is the LT8608 works under low ripple Burst Mode^® operation at light load condition, while the LT8608B has pulse-skipping mode for light load. Due to the Burst Mode operation, LT8608 consumes only 1.7μA of quiescent current when output is regulated at 5V. LT8608B has higher quiescent current because of its pulse-skipping mode operation.

The demo board is designed for 5V output from a 5.5V to 42V input. The wide input range allows a variety of input sources, such as automotive batteries and industrial supplies.

The demo board has an EMI filter installed. To use the EMI filter, the input should be tied to V_EMI, not V_IN. An inductor L2, which is a 0Ω jumper on the board by default now, can be added in the EMI filter to further reduce the conducted emission.

The ADP2230 evaluation board aids in rapid testing of the performance of the ADP2230. The evaluation board ships with the adjustable output option, allowing for testing to be performed on multiple output voltages. The boards come preconfigured to have one output set to 1.2 V, and one output set to 3.3 V. The user can adjust the output by replacing set resistors on the evaluation board.
