The ADSD3100 is a CMOS 3D Time of Flight (ToF)-based 3D depth and 2D visual light imager that is available for integration into 3D sensor systems. The functional blocks required for read out, which include an analog to digital converter (ADC), pixel biasing circuitry, and sensor control logic, are built into the chip to enable a cost effective and simple implementation into systems.

The ADSD3100 interfaces electrically to a host system over a mobile industry processor interface (MIPI), Camera Serial Interface 2 (CSI-2) interface. A lens plus optical band-pass filter for the imager and an infrared light source plus an associated driver are required to complete the working subsystem.

The LT8390A is a synchronous 4-switch buck-boost DC/DC controller that regulates output voltage, input or output current from an input voltage above, below, or equal to the output voltage. The proprietary peak-buck peak-boost current mode control scheme allows adjustable and synchronizable 600kHz to 2MHz fixed frequency operation, or internal 25% triangle spread spectrum frequency modulation for low EMI. With a 4V to 60V input voltage range, 0V to 60V output voltage capability, and seamless low-noise transitions between operation regions, the LT8390A is ideal for voltage regulator, battery and supercapacitor charger applications in automotive, industrial, telecom, and even battery-powered systems.

The LT8390A provides input or output current monitor and power good flag. Fault protection is also provided to detect output short-circuit condition, during which the LT8390A retries, latches off, or keeps running.

The LTC3309B is a very small, high efficiency, low noise, monolithic synchronous 6A step-down DC/DC converter operating from a 2.25V to 5.5V input supply. Using constant frequency, peak current mode control at switching frequencies 3MHz-10MHz and minimum on-time as low as 22ns, this regulator achieves fast transient response with small external components. Silent Switcher architecture minimizes EMI emissions.

The LTC3309B operates in forced continuous or pulse skip mode for low noise, or the low-ripple Burst Mode operation for high efficiency at light loads, ideal for battery-powered systems. The IC regulates output voltages as low as 500mV. Other features include output over-voltage protection, short-circuit protection, thermal shut-down, clock synchronization, and up to 100% duty cycle operation for low dropout. The device is available in a low profile 12-lead 2mm × 2mm × 0.74mm LQFN package with exposed pad for low thermal resistance.

The LT8652S is a dual step-down regulator that delivers up to 8.5A of continuous current from both channels and supports loads up to 12A from each channel. The LT8652S uses second generation Silent Switcher technology including integrated bypass capacitors to deliver a high frequency, high efficiency, small solution with excellent EMI performance. The LT8652S is ideal for noise sensitive applications such as PLLs and high bandwidth data and communications systems.

The fast, clean, low overshoot switching edges enable high efficiency operation even at high switching frequencies, enabling a wide control loop bandwidth for fast transient response. Output current monitoring and limiting allows inductors to be selected for the maximum output current in a given application. Differential output voltage sensing provides accurate voltage regulation at the point of load for high current applications. The two channels can be combined to deliver 17A, and two LT8652S ICs can be combined for a 4-phase, 34A supply.

The LT8697 is a compact, high efficiency, high speed synchronous monolithic step-down switching regulator designed to power 5V USB applications. A precise output voltage and programmable cable drop compensation maintain accurate 5V regulation at the USB socket connected to the end of a long cable. Forced continuous operation allows the LT8697 to sink current, further enhancing accurate 5V regulation during load transients.

Accurate and programmable output current limit, a power good indicator pin and an output current monitor pin improve system reliability and safety, allow the user to implement latch-off or auto-retry functionality and can eliminate the need for a USB switch IC. Dual feedback allows regulation on the output of a USB switch and limits cable drop compensation to a maximum of 5.8V output, protecting USB devices during fault conditions. Thermal shutdown provides additional protection by limiting power dissipation in the IC during an overtemperature fault.

The LT8697 is available in a small 24-lead 3mm × 5mm package with an exposed pad for low thermal resistance.

TThe SSM3582A is a fully integrated, high efficiency, digital input stereo Class-D audio amplifier. The device can operate from a single supply and requires only a few external components, significantly reducing the circuit bill of materials.

A proprietary, spread spectrum Σ-Δ modulation scheme enables direct connection to the speaker and ensures state-of-the-art analog performance while lowering radiated emissions compared to other Class-D architectures. An optional ultralow electromagnetic interference (EMI) mode significantly reduces radiated emissions above 100 MHz, enabling longer speaker cable lengths. Audio is transmitted digitally to the amplifier, minimizing the possibility of signal corruption in digital environments. The amplifier provides outstanding analog performance, with a 106 dB signal-to-noise ratio and a low 0.004% total harmonic distortion + noise (THD + N).

The SSM3582A operates from a single 4.5 V to 16.5 V supply and is capable of delivering 2× 15 W rms continuously into 8 Ω and 4 Ω loads at <1% total harmonic distortion (THD). The efficient modulation scheme maintains excellent power efficiency over a wide range of impedances: 93.8% into an 8 Ω load and 90.6% into a 4 Ω load. Optimization of the output pulse maintains performance at impedances as low as 3 Ω/5 μH, enabling its use with extended bandwidth tweeters.

The pulse code modulation (PCM) audio serial port supports most common protocols, such as I²S, left justified, and time division multiplexing (TDM), and can address up to 16 devices on a single interface, for up to 32 audio playback channels.

IC operation is controlled through a dedicated I²C interface. The two ADDRx pins (2×, five-level) define up to 16 individual addresses in I²C and standalone modes and automatically set the default TDM slots attribution.

A micropower shutdown mode is triggered by removing the digital audio interface clock, with a typical current of <1 μA. A software power-down mode is also available.

An automatic power-down feature shuts down the amplifier and the digital-to-analog converter (DAC) when no signal is present at the input, minimizing power consumption during digital silence. The device restarts when nonzero data is present at the input. Mute and unmute transitions are pop and click free.

The SSM3582A is specified over the commercial temperature range of −40°C to +85°C. The device has built in thermal shutdown and output short-circuit protection, as well as an early thermal warning with programmable gain limiting to maintain operation.

The SSM3582A is available in a 40-lead, 6 mm × 6 mm lead frame chip scale package (LFCSP), with a thermal pad to improve heat dissipation.

The SSM2375 is a fully integrated, high efficiency, Class-D audio amplifier. It is designed to maximize performance for mobile phone applications. The application circuit requires a minimum of external components and operates from a single 2.5 V to 5.5 V supply. It is capable of delivering 3 W of continuous output power with <1% THD + N driving a 3 Ω load from a 5.0 V supply.

The SSM2375 features a high efficiency, low noise modulation scheme that requires no external LC output filters. The modulation continues to provide high efficiency even at low output power. The SSM2375 operates with 93% efficiency at 1.4 W into 8 Ω or with 85% efficiency at 3 W into 3 Ω from a 5.0 V supply and has an SNR of >100 dB.

Spread-spectrum pulse density modulation (PDM) is used to provide lower EMI-radiated emissions compared with other Class-D architectures. The inherent randomized nature of spread-spectrum PDM eliminates the clock intermodulation (beating effect) of several amplifiers in close proximity.

The SSM2375 includes an optional modulation select pin (ultralow EMI emissions mode) that significantly reduces the radiated emissions at the Class-D outputs, particularly above 100 MHz. In ultralow EMI emissions mode, the SSM2375 can pass FCC Class B radiated emission testing with 50 cm, unshielded speaker cable without any external filtering.

The device also includes a highly flexible gain select pin that allows the user to select a gain of 0 dB, 3 dB, 6 dB, 9 dB, or 12 dB. The gain selection feature improves gain matching between multiple SSM2375 devices within a single application as compared to using external resistors to set the gain.

The SSM2375 has a micropower shutdown mode with a typical shutdown current of 20 nA. Shutdown is enabled by applying a logic low to the SD pin.

The device also includes pop-and-click suppression circuitry. This suppression circuitry minimizes voltage glitches at the output during turn-on and turn-off, reducing audible noise on activation and deactivation.

Other features that simplify system-level integration of the SSM2375 include input low-pass filtering to suppress out-of-band DAC noise interference to the PDM modulator and fixed-input impedance to simplify component selection across multiple platform production builds.

The SSM2537 is a PDM digital input Class D power amplifier that offers higher performance than existing DAC plus Class D solutions. The SSM2537 is ideal for power sensitive applications where system noise can corrupt the small analog signal sent to the amplifier, such as mobile phones and portable media players.

The SSM2537 combines an audio digital-to-analog converter (DAC), a power amplifier, and a PDM digital interface on a single chip. The integrated DAC plus analog Σ-Δ modulator architecture enables extremely low real-world power consumption from digital audio sources with excellent audio performance. Using the SSM2537, audio can be transmitted digitally to the audio amplifier, significantly reducing the effect of noise sources such as GSM interference or other digital signals on the transmitted audio. The SSM2537 is capable of delivering 2.5 W of continuous output power with <1% THD + N driving a 4 Ω load from a 5.0 V supply.

The SSM2537 features a high efficiency, low noise modulation scheme that requires no external LC output filters. The closed-loop, three-level modulator design retains the benefits of an all-digital amplifier, yet enables very good PSRR and audio performance. The modulation continues to provide high efficiency even at low output power and has an SNR of 103 dB PDM input. Spread-spectrum pulse density modulation is used to provide lower EMI-radiated emissions compared with other Class D architectures.

The SSM2537 has a four-state gain and sample frequency selection pin that can select two different gain settings, optimized for 3.6 V and 5 V operation. This same pin also controls the internal digital filtering and clocking, which can be set for 64 × f_S or 128 × f_S input sample rates to support both 3 MHz and 6 MHz PDM clock rates.

The SSM2537 has a micropower shutdown mode with a typical shutdown current of 1 µA for both power supplies. Shutdown is enabled automatically by gating input clock and data signals. A standby mode can be entered by applying a designated PDM stop condition sequence. The device also includes pop-and-click suppression circuitry. This suppression circuitry minimizes voltage glitches at the output when entering or leaving the low power state, reducing audible noises on activation and deactivation.

The SSM2537 is specified over the industrial temperature range of −40°C to +85°C. It has built-in thermal shutdown and output short-circuit protection. It is available in a 9-ball, 1.3 mm × 1.3 mm wafer level chip scale package (WLCSP).

The SSM3525 is a fully integrated, high efficiency, mono Class D audio amplifier with digital input and digitized output of output voltage, output current, and PV_DD supply. The application circuit requires few external components and can operate from 4.5 V to 17 V (PV_DD) and 1.8 V (IOV_DD) supplies. It is capable of delivering 8.3 W of continuous output power into an 8 Ω load (or 15.3 W into 4 Ω) with <1% THD + N from a 12 V supply, or 30.2 W into an 4 Ω load from a 17 V power supply, all with <1% THD + N.

The SSM3525 features a high efficiency, low noise modulation scheme that requires no external inductor/capacitor (LC) output filters. This scheme continues to provide high efficiency even at low output power. It operates with 92% efficiency at 9W into an 8 Ω load, 12V or 89% efficiency at 20 W into 4 Ω from a 17 V supply, (should now match the table)and it has an signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of 107 dB A weighted.

Spread spectrum pulse density modulation provides lower electromagnetic interference (EMI) radiated emissions compared with other Class-D architectures, particularly above 100 MHz.

The digital input eliminates the need of an external digital-to-analog converter (DAC). The SSM3525 has a micropower shutdown mode with a typical shut¬down current of 90 nA at 12 V PV_DD supply. Individual sense blocks can be powered down to save power when sense is not needed.

The device also includes pop and click suppression circuitry that minimizes voltage glitches at the output during turn on and turn off.

Current sensing is accomplished using an integrated analog-to-digital converter (ADC) and internal sense resistor. The digitized voltage and current information can be returned in various serial audio formats, including I²S, time division multiplexing (TDM) and pulse density modulation (PDM).

The SSM3525 includes an integrated regulator to generate the required 5 V analog supply. Alternatively, if an external 5 V rail from a dc-to-dc converter is available, it can improve system efficiency.

The SSM3525 is designed to operate with an I²C control interface and specified over the temperature range −40°C to +85°C. It has built-in thermal shutdown and output short-circuit protection. It is available in a halide free, 23-ball, 2.26 mm × 2.38 mm wafer-level chip scale package (WLCSP).

The AD-96TOF1-EBZ is a proven hardware platform for depth perception. When paired with processor board from the 96Boards eco system, it can be used for 3D software and algorithm development. While the software and algorithms are being developed, the hardware design can be leveraged for productization. ADI can suggest 3rd party developers to help customize the platform to meet individual application needs.

Depending on customer preferences and development experience, different 96Boards processor boards can be used for overall system evaluation and custom development. There is also a Raspberry Pi interface available on the Mezzanine board for extra customer flexibility.

This solution offers the ability to be very small and low power while measuring depth at up to 6m distances, good outdoor and indoor performance and VGA resolution.
